Overall a very good, but pricey range. We purchased it about two weeks ago, so do not yet have extensive experience with it. It replaced a GE smooth top range, simply because of a remodel to stainless steel appliances.The reasons for purchasing this range were because of the dual oven design, Whirlpool ratings, and this unit has the largest top oven of any units of this design. Also, it matched a previously purchased Whirlpool gold french door refrigerator.So far the only negatives we have encountered are preferences. The hot surface warning light is about the size of a pin head, as opposed to the old GE's much larger light, and the clock uses a blue light, which is hard to read at a distance. Also, the unit has one "feature" which was probably mandated by safety concerns issued by someone who has never baked anything - when the timer goes off, it turns the oven off. So, if you need another minute or two, you have to go through the oven preheat cycle again. This is minor, and can be circumvented by purchasing an auxillary timer, but it is an irritation which is unnecessary. A much better solution would have been to make turning the oven off a programmable option.

So far after having this oven for a few weeks now we really like it. I have to admit the controls are a little hard to press but its not that bad. You can set the timer either as part of the preheating and cooking process (the oven will shut off when timer goes off). This is a great feature if you dont want to over cook something. Or you can set the timer by itself. We set the timer by itself cause then it will beep when timer goes off but the oven continues to heat and you check your dish and decide if you want to reset the timer for additional time or shut it off.The surface of this stove is nice. It does have the Schott Ceran Glass. I was told this is one of the best types of glass to get. It scratches a lot less then glass on other flat top stoves that dont have this type of glass. With that said we have a little older pots and pans and we do have a few small scratches already. The surface cleans up well with the solution that comes with the stove. You do have to stay on top of this though. Especially if something got on the surface while cooking. It will burn to the top. It cleans up easy, if you get to it right away. Of course you need to wait for the surface to cool down. That sometimes takes a little while. The surface also leaves finger prints pretty easily, so if that bugs the living daylights out of you, then this stove might not be for you. Doesn't really bother us that much.The surface hot indicator lights are a little on the small side, but they are not that bad. The clock time being blue seems to be just fine.We did have an issue where the top oven seemed to reach 410 degrees and get stuck there. We tried again at a later time and it didnt seem to be an issue. So not sure if the stove needs to be broken in a little bit before it reaches the right temps.Overall this seems to be a nice stove. One thing we wish it had was convention. Although this stove doesnt have that feature the double oven is really nice. Can have 2 things cooking at once at different temps. Simply awesome.

I cannot tell you how much I LOVE this range! The double oven is awesome, I can bake cookies and such twice as fast! The warming plate on the stove top is so wonderful, I can keep my tea kettle piping hot all day without it boiling. The stovetop is also super easy to clean, which if you have had a smooth top stove you know can be a challenge! I highly recomend this range!
