We have been fortunate with our range-sorry to read the previous reviewer's experience. Haven't noticed problems with excessive fan noise and find this is a pleasure to cook on. Not only does it look great in our kitchen, but we love the true simmer, power boil options. Find that upper oven is useful for rewarming/casseroles/pizza, but prefer to do the real work in the lower oven. We've had this for 7 months now and find this is a great improvement from our standard gas range we had before. I had read before purchasing that the stovetop is easily scratched and difficult to clean. Care is needed when cleaning and when removing/replacing cast iron grates, but I've not found it difficult at all to keep it looking good as new. So far, we are happy with our purchase.

Love it and it's beautiful!

Our oven broke and was not repairable the week before Easter. So I searched the Internet for a replacement. I ordered it unseen based on reviews I saw online. I am not sorry! I like the previous reviewer I love the simmer and the power boil. I don't find it noisy at all. The griddle is awesome too. And it is so easy to clean. Just a really great stove!

exactly as desribed

Awesome gas range, quality construction, this gas range rocks. I'm still learning how to use the burners since they provide so much more heat then the gas range it replaces. Same for the ovens. I do most baking/broiling in the upper oven since it suits 90% of my needs and have only used the lower oven once in the convection mode. I thought all convection ovens were electric and that I would need 220V power installed. That wasn't clear in the description, but all I needed was the existing 110V and the gas line. This range is like a new car that I can't stop looking at every time I walk into the kitchen. I'm in the midst of a kitchen make-over with new cabinets, counters etc., and this range only adds to the clean, simple lines look that I want for the whole kitchen. But most important is the functionality and this range performs. Only had it for 6 weeks.The delivery was on-time and I slid the old range out and the new one in. The hookup and levelling (if needed) was dirt simple.

If you are looking for electric range, this is a great option to consider.In this review, I will emphasize on installation more then the design and functionality..DESIGN:-It looks gorgeous.-Control panel is perfectly laid out in from of you with easy to understand touch controls, no need to read the manual.-It does have a locking function which you have to press for 3 second in order to deactivate the touch functionality.'It slides in perfectly, leaving no space in the rear, unlike what I was told by some sales persons.-Small oven area has a easy to slide in-out drawer type of tray to place dishes easily.-If you normally use the oven section to store your pans and trays, this range will help you to keep them in place..If you are not baking large items, you will probably be end up using the top small oven, You can keep the trays in the bottom large portion until you need to use it.FUNCTIONALITY:-Cook-top has 5 cooking areas, the 5th one in the middle is to keep the food warm.-In each cooking areas' heat can be adjusted in 2 different modes; you can increase the heat level for each, and also, you can choose to use center part or the entire area of each sections.--The front display shows you the temperature of the ovens as they heat up, counting up. My old range did not, so it is a plus for me..INSTALLATION/PLACEMENT of SLIDE-IN GE RANGE:-This is perhaps a concern to some of you as it was for me..-Unlike what SEARS sales person indicated, you do not need a special installation for this range..and the range slides all the way back the wall (minus 1 inch to accommodate the electrical outlet in the back).-Tips: However, you must be careful to adjust the height on 4 legs to ensure that the galls top does not lay on the kitchen counter..The glass-top of this range over floats in bot sides about half an inch. It is great to cover openings on the side, making it look part of the counter..However, in most kitchens, the floor is not leveled well, and one side of the counter opening is in different height than the other 3 sides. So, it is very difficult to place the galls top close to the surface of the counter..Like me, you may have to opt to have overflows staying quarter inch above the counter. This does not effect functionality, but prevents it to look as good as it should.If you are getting this range for a kitchen renovation, communicate with your contractor, and have him install it along with the counter, which then should look awesome.If you like to be sure if this fits flawlessly to your kitchen before you order it. Pull out the current range and measure the four corners of the counter opening to see if they exactly match. Important thing is that back 2 corners on both sides are equal to opposite ones (back left and right) and in equal or higher height to from 2 sides. if the back is lower then front, it will be impossible to adjust the legs and slide it in without cracking the top..I know I emphasized on installation a lot, but it was a big unknown for me, and I hope my experience will help you..I have had this for a month now, with no issues. i will update the review if there are any issues, if not that means that I am happy with the range and it works well. Terrible Quality Issues

We ordered this range because of the looks and features. The convection oven would work intermittetly. Sometimes it would come on, other times it would cut off when you pressed start. The glass windows in the doors have fiberglass fibers all over them on the inside. The extension rack was too wide and would not fit in the oven. If you tried to use the kitchen timer, it would turn the oven "off." So we ordered a replacement.Well the second one arrived and the convection oven does not work, the extension rack still does not fit, the door windows have fiberglass all over them, the kitchen timer cuts off the oven AND now the insulation in the door blocks the vents on the top of the door and it looks terrible. I called GE and they are sending me a $75 check to cover my inconvenience. What I really want is a range that works, not a $75 check.I just received delivery of a 3rd range. The door windows are clean, the sliding rack fit in the oven. However, when we turned it on we got a "F100" error code. I turned it off and restarted it. Once again we have intermittent function of the convection oven and bake. The F100 error is a keypad malfunction error. So now a service tech came out and saw the problems. The range is so new, they can't even look up the parts needed to fix it. So we have been without a range for a month. They do not have a repair date set so we have no idea when this will be repaired.VERY DISAPPOINTED in this range. It looks great but they have some serious quaity control issues.

Cooks well, be careful of the easy touch buttons

After a lot of searching, we finally found a slide-in double oven! We were thrilled. It took a full three weeks to get this oven because it is a new product. We have had it two weeks now and I love it!Pros: sleek, looks good when clean and cooks well. We love that we don't have to turn on a whole oven to cook a pie--a real energy saver!Cons: a lot of cleaning to get it to look sleek and more importantly, beware when cleaning stovetop. If you ever so slightly lean on the control panel with buttons, you will turn the stovetop on. Any pressure at all will turn the stove on. I have noticed, however, if you do nothing, it will turn off on its own.Too new to say for certain so this might be a consideration when purchasing.

Nice idea, but it doesn't work

We have this oven and over a few years we have found that you really can't use the top oven for anything but Broiling. For baking, it doesn't distribute the heat evenly and thing burn on the bottom. THis mean that the main oven is *on the floor* so it has reduced accessibility.Also, we have had to replace the touch pad twice and likely will junk this range the next time it fails.

Oven went out after 14 months

Let me start by saying before tonight, I would've rated this range with 4 stars. It looks great, it's easy to use, it's one of the only ovens with convection features in it's price range, and it's worked really well up until recently.The last two weeks I've noticed it's taking a long time to preheat, and about twice as long to bake anything. I just hadn't made the service call yet to have someone come take a look at it. Well tonight we were baking a pork loin, and heard a loud POP, saw a flash of light in the oven, and it just stopped working. No power, no lights, nothing. We checked the circuit, there was no power surge. All of the other appliances on the circuit are fine. Thank goodness we purchased the extended protection plan, I would be soooo upset if I spent almost $1000 on an oven to have it go out after just a year. But still, it's a darn shame. When you spend that much on an appliance it should last A LOT longer than a year!!!!

If you like to bake, Don"t Buy this Range

On 1/8/2011 I purchased an upscale Samsung Range Model FTQ353iWUX/XAA. After noticing that the oven does not cook properly, I purchased a range temperature gauge. I found that when the range pre heat alarm rings, the oven is actually 75 degrees below the set temperature. It takes the range an additional 20 to 30 minutes to reach the set temperature which negatively effects the bake times. I called Samsung at 800 726-7864 and spoke to a "Cedrik" who refused to give his last name but gave an ID #129. He advised that this was a common problem and to set the temp up an additional 75 degrees. This would be fine except after 20-30 minutes the oven temperature is 75 degrees to hot. "Cedrik" advised that Samsung would do nothing to rectify this problem. "Cedrik" was less than helpful. I would strongly advise anyone considering a Samsung Range to reconsider and look at ranges from reputable manufacturers. If this is typical of the way Samsung treats their customers, then "let the buyer beware" would apply to all of their products.

Ok but not as good as I thought.

I purchased this unit to replace an older stove with the coil type burners. The old stove worked ok but I replaced it because I thought this one would be more accurate at keeping the oven temperature even and that the burners would heat faster. Not so in either case and it is unfortunate I couldn't try it out before I purchased it. I was told by a Samsung technician that the oven is large and that it the heating elements installed tend not to be able to maintain the set temperature. (!!) He said it was a matter of getting used to it. The range does, however, allow you to adjust the oven temperature so that it automatically adds up to an additional 25 degrees. (I adjusted mine to 10+ degrees.) The convection component seems to work well, however, and it was key in my decision to make my purchase. Another negative is the gel pad for controlling the oven. It is a little stiff and takes some effort to punch in the adjustments. I am told this is a common complaint but that the pad will lose some of its stiffness with time. As for the ceramic top, I think it is a little sensitive to scratching because, after only two weeks, I now have a slight scratch on a burner surface and I have no idea how it got there. On the plus side, the range looks good but so do a lot of the others. I think that it is rated in the top five of all comparable ranges.

1 Week after install, and very pleased

We purchased this range because we wanted to avoid the electronic touchpad interfaces. After replacing 3 boards on 2 different ovens with those touch pads, we were D-O-N-E with that.The Bertazzoni can be lit with a match if you don't have power (both the burners and the oven). I have had no problem lighting the burners or the oven in the normal manner, it seems identical to our last stove. The procedure is: Press & turn the knob, hear the clicking, hear the whoosh, and let go. Bingo, you're done.The oven has one safety feature which is very nice, the door never gets hot. There is a fan blowing fresh air in between the door panel (between the inside of the door and the outside), so it keeps the outer surface of the door cool (or at most, slightly warm). This does cause warm air to blow into the kitchen when the oven is on. We use the overhead vent hood on low & that keeps the kitchen from getting warm on hot days. It will be a nice feature in the winter. But if you live in a tropical environment then this would be annoying. For anyone with kids or curious pets, though, it's nice that the oven door never gets hot.One other consideration - the lowest oven temp is 270F. We don't cook anything below that, but if you wanted to use it for a dehydrator this is not the oven for you. The burner power is amazing, the high output burner is great at getting water to boil quickly. And the simmer burner can hold a very low temperature. It has only been 1 week so we're still getting to know the stove in some ways (we still have a thermometer in the oven to be sure it's at the right temp) but we are very, very happy with the purchase.

Amazing Range

We purchased this range about a year ago when we did a total remodel on our kitchen. After tons of research, we selected the Bertazzoni. We love its look, but more importantly, we LOVE THE WAY IT PERFORMS!. Burners are a good size and allow variation for pot size and heat range. The oven is large, and heats evenly ( although, in the beginning it's a little tricky to light) Convection makes a little noise, but you don't really notice it, unless you listen for it. We are extremely happy with this purchase.

Many Problems

I purchased my oven a few years ago so maybe (hopefully) they've fixed some of their issues, but this oven was the single biggest regret in our apartment renovation.Firstly, the pressure regulator came installed backwards which took several visits from the gas company to discover. As a result, we were unable to use the oven for months after it was purchased.Secondly, one of the burners keeps malfunctioning. I had this fixed once under warranty but the problem keeps resurfacing and was obviously not fixed properly or was too difficult to correctly diagnose.Finally, the glue used to seal the glass on the front window keeps running down the inside of the window panel. Despite several tries to take the door apart and clean it, the problem continues to return and now the door doesn't close as smoothly as it once did. This particularly annoys my wife. Which in turn annoys me greatly.I'd suggest going with a more established brand, or being very aggressive with their customer service as soon as you experience any issues.
